Life Path Numbers

The Life Path number represents the overall lesson of your life. In order to calculate your Life Path number, you must take the numbers of your birthdate and add them until you have a single digit left. I will use my birthday as an example. I was born October 15, 1977. October is represented by the number 10, which reduces to the number 1 (1 + 0 = 1). I was born on the 15th day and that reduces to the number 6 (1 + 5 = 6). And lastly, I was born in 1977, which reduces down to the number 6, as well (1 + 9 + 7 + 7 = 24, 2 + 4 = 6). If you take the numbers that represent the month, the day and the year and add them together, the number reduces to a 4 (1 + 6 + 6 = 13, 1 + 3 = 4).


The Life Path number is the most important number in an individual's life. The number will determine the overal theme of a person's life. It is literally the path that you will travel in this life and the Life Path number outlines the opportunities and challenges that you will face. Below is a brief description of each Life Path number:



Life Path 1: The Trailblazer/The Leader
Positives: Leadership, Original, High Energy
Negatives: Selfish, Self-centered, Narrow Minded
Those who possess a Life Path of 1 are very headstrong and determined. They are original and can even be flamboyant. They are competitive and can be aggressive. They have a tendency to isolate themselves and can often feel lonely in a crowded room. Others always look to the 1 person for direction and guidance. They can often be insensitive but that is because they often see the world in their own unique way and find it hard to relate to the emotions and feelings of others. They are often in leadership positions.

The are very communicative and have a tendency to be a gossip because they can't keep a secret. They love to have a good time. Eat, drink and be merry is their motto. This can be a problem in the more serious times in life. They do not handle money, important paperwork or other serious matters efficiently. However, they do manage to remain optimistic as their lack care causes their world to fall apart.

The down side of the 5 Life Path is that they find it hard to grow roots and be still. 5 Life Path people can sell ice to an Eskimo. They are very quick witted and charming. Those who are able to control their food urges often have attractive and strong bodies. Unfortunately, many individuals with a 5 Life Path have addictive personalities. They can easily fall prey to drug addiction, sex addiction and/or obesity.

Just like mothers, in general, they have a tendency to be in your business and overly concerned with the affairs of the ones they love. They can be domineering and controlling. They are worldly and intelligent. They have the ability to concentrate and have excellent memories. They can easily become scholars and teachers. Unfortunately, they can be a little too mysterious and elusive. It is hard to get to know the real person. So, it is difficult for 7 people to be in close intimate relationships.

They are excellent managers and could be very comfortable as the CEO of some giant corporation. However, those who have the 8 Life Path can let their pursuit of money and fame consume them. They can be born dirt poor and die filthy rich. They have a hard time with the one on one relationships. They can easily become religious leaders because they have the ability to touch and direct the masses.
